Sweden Announces $1.42 Billion Air Defense Package for Ukraine

TT News Agency/Johan Nilsson via ReutersSweden on Feb. 19 announced a 12.9 billion crown ($1.42 billion) military aid package to Ukraine, which the Scandinavian country described as one of its largest-ever support packages pledged to Kyiv.The Swedish Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the package is made up of largely air defense materiel, ammunition, and long-range weapons and was arranged in response to specific requests for support from Ukraine.
