Meta Signs 6.6 Gigawatt Nuclear Energy Deal to Power AI Data Centers

Madalina Vasiliu/The Epoch TimesMeta has entered into agreements with three nuclear power companies to buy up to 6.6 gigawatts (GW) of electricity generation to power its data centers and drive artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, Meta said in a Jan. 9 statement.“Our agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo—and the one we signed with Constellation Energy last year—make Meta one of the most significant corporate purchasers of nuclear energy in American history,” the company said.
