Athit Perawongmetha/ReutersKUALA LUMPUR—Jailed former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak has filed an appeal against his conviction last week on corruption charges related to the multibillion-dollar 1MDB ‍scandal, which saw him sentenced to an ‍additional 15 years in prison, his lawyer said on Tuesday.Najib, 72, has been in jail since 2022 on graft offenses linked to allegations ‌that about $4.5 billion was stolen from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), a state fund he co-founded while ⁠serving as premier in 2009.
