According to multiple sources within China, the recent meeting by the CCP’s top anti-corruption watchdog emphasized not only strict Party governance but also an expansion of investigations into city-level governments and newly promoted officials. The CCP’s fifth plenary session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) was held from Jan. 12-14.
