The Canadian Press/Adrian WyldConservatives are requesting a copy of the agreement Ottawa signed with Beijing on cooperation between law enforcement agencies and for intelligence sharing, saying such agreements should be subject to parliamentary scrutiny if they are being kept confidential to the public.Conservative MP and public safety critic Frank Caputo sent a letter to Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree on Feb. 9, requesting a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation in Combating Crimes between the RCMP and China’s ministry of public security. Ottawa and Beijing signed the MOU during Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to China in January.
