Victorian Opposition Leader Brad Battin has vowed to cut new taxes and not introduce any new levies as many residents and local councils continue to object to the government’s recently introduced $3 billion emergency services tax.

The Opposition said a parliamentary e-petition calling on the Labor government to scrap the Emergency Services Property Levy (ESVF) has now gained 43,748 signatures.
