Czech Says Chinese Diplomats, Agents Tailed and Planned to Intimidate Taiwan’s Vice President

Chinese diplomats and agents tailed Taiwan’s then-vice-president-elect Hsiao Bi-khim during her visit to Prague last year and plotted to intimidate Hsiao, Czech military intelligence confirmed on Thursday.

Hsiao met with Czech Senate President Milos Vystrcil during a three day trip to the Czech Republic in March 2024, a few weeks before she assumed office, along with Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te.
