The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warned on Oct. 7 about possible listeria contamination in HelloFresh ready-to-eat meals that contain frozen spinach.

Listeria is a type of bacteria that causes a serious infection transmitted through contaminated food. It affects older adults, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women, according to the FSIS.
