US Judge Dismisses xAI Trade Secret Lawsuit Against OpenAI

Dado Ruvic/Illustration/File Photo/ReutersA federal judge has dismissed a trade secret lawsuit filed by Elon Musk’s xAI against OpenAI, ruling that the plaintiff failed to demonstrate that the competing artificial intelligence company improperly obtained confidential information.Judge Rita Lin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued the order on June 15 in San Francisco, dismissing the case with prejudice, resulting in xAI being unable to refile an amended version of the complaint based on the same arguments.
