Builder confidence in the newly built single-family home market declined in June to its lowest level in two and a half years across the United States, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) said in a June 17 statement.

The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index slipped two points from May to 32 in June, the lowest since December 2022, the statement said, adding that this was the third lowest reading since 2012.
