Trump Orders New Tariffs on Any Nations Selling Oil to Cuba

Executive BranchThe president’s order accuses the Cuban regime of aligning itself with Russia, China, Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah.President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 29 that threatens to impose new tariffs on any country that “directly or indirectly provides oil to Cuba.”“I find that the policies, practices, and actions of the Government of Cuba constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat, which has its source in whole or substantial part outside the United States, to the national security and foreign policy of the United States,” the executive order reads.
