Tropical Storm Fernand Forms in the Atlantic Ocean

MIAMI—Tropical Storm Fernand formed in the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday, but it was far from land and forecast to remain over the open ocean.

According to National Hurricane Center’s Sunday 11 a.m. ET advisory, the storm was located about 295 miles east-southeast of Bermuda.
