Strong Majority of Canadians Back New Oil Infrastructure Projects: Poll

Nearly three-quarters of Canadians support the construction of an oil pipeline to either the West or East Coast, a new poll indicates.

Seventy-three percent of Canadians say they are in favour of new oil pipelines and, while support is slightly lower in Quebec than in other provinces, the majority of residents polled there also conveyed their approval for such projects, a newly released poll by Environics Research has found.
