Peruvian President Removed From Power for ‘Moral Incapacity’

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte was ousted on Friday after Congress declared her “morally incapacitated” after a string of scandals.

On Oct. 10, political blocs presented motions for Boluarte’s removal on grounds of “moral incapacity.” Her tenure was due to end on July 28, 2026.
