Saeed Khan/AFP via Getty ImagesA bill to restricted late term abortion in South Australia passed the Upper House but was defeated overwhelmingly in the House of Assembly of parliament.The legislation (pdf) would have imposed tighter restrictions on abortions after 24 weeks and 6 days, with exemptions only to save a woman’s life or in cases of severe fetal abnormalities.
