NPR Cuts Newsroom Jobs Due to Federal Funding Loss, Expected Drop in Sponsorship Revenue

These subsidies had supported member stations, which in turn pay programming fees to NPR to carry various flagship shows, contributing to its annual operating budget of about $300 million.
