Health Canada Recalls Brand of Roquefort Cheese Due to Listeria Danger

Health Canada has issued a recall order for a brand of roquefort cheese sold in Quebec and Ontario, saying it could contain the potentially deadly bacteria listeria.

The cheese affected by the Oct. 16 recall is Maison Gabriel Coulet brand Roquefort – La Cave, which was sold in 100 gram packs with a best before date of Nov. 3, 2025, under UPC 8 22775 00337 2. The matter is being investigated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), which says no illnesses have been reported due to the cheese and that additional recalls may be announced in the coming days.
