German Public Safety Fears Have Doubled Since 2015: Survey

Maja Hitij/Getty ImagesGermans are increasingly concerned about public safety, as almost half said in a survey published on Nov. 8 that they feel unsafe in public spaces.According to the DeutschlandTrend survey, 48 percent of the German public now feel uneasy in public squares, in streets, in parks, and on public transport. That figure represents an almost 100 percent increase since 2015.
