Ebola Outbreak Confirmed in Congo With 80 Deaths, Hundreds of Suspected Cases

Al-hadji Kudra Maliro/APA new outbreak of Ebola has been confirmed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said on May 15.According to Congo’s Health Ministry, 80 deaths and 246 suspected cases related to the outbreak had been reported as of May 15, with at least four fatalities being laboratory-confirmed cases. The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention previously reported 65 deaths.
