Chicken Drives Increased Sales at Tyson Foods, but Beef Struggles Continue

Mike Blake/ReutersTyson Foods, headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas, reported sales of $13.86 billion in its most recent fiscal quarter, a nearly 5 percent increase from the previous year, with chicken powering protein sales at the nation’s largest meat producer.Full-year sales for the fiscal year ended Sept. 28 were up by 3.3 percent to $54.4 billion, Tyson Foods reported. Quarterly adjusted operating income from the company’s chicken segment was $457 million, up by 28 percent from $356 million for the same quarter in 2024. However, a number of factors impacting the beef industry led to quarterly losses of $94 million in that segment.
