CCP Escalates Japan Tensions With Coast Guard Patrols, Travel Warnings

Greg Baker/ AFP via Getty ImagesThe Chinese regime has warned citizens against studying and traveling to Japan, while dispatching coast guard ships in the waters near Japan-administered Senkaku Islands, as a row between the two Asian neighbors over Taiwan escalated.The China Coast Guard said in a statement on Nov. 15 that the patrol in the waters around the “Diaoyu Islands” aims to uphold China’s “rights and interests,” using the Chinese name of the uninhabited islands and rocks located in the East China Sea.
