The Canadian Press/Sean KilpatrickCanadian Prime Minister Mark Carney may be heading to Washington early next month, his office says, but at this point, any discussions he has with U.S. President Donald Trump are likely to centre around World Cup soccer, not trade.The Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed Carney is contemplating a trip to D.C. for the final draw on Dec. 5 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament, but says no arrangements for any additional events in the U.S. capital have been established.
