Canadian Recall Issued for 2 Types of Fisher-Price Baby Products Linked to Choking Risk

Date:

Health Canada has announced the recall of two Fisher-Price toys that may pose a choking risk to babies and toddlers.

No injuries have been reported in Canada with either toy, but there have been reports in the United States of components breaking on both toys, although no children were hurt, Health Canada said in the advisories.

The Brunch and Go Stroller Toy features a soft plush avocado toast toy with three dangling accessories: a tomato mirror, an egg teether, and crinkle bacon. The toy includes a clip for easy attachment to a stroller canopy.

The yolk of the toy egg is the piece responsible for the recall because it can break apart, resulting in small pieces that may pose a choking risk to young children, Health Canada said.

The affected stroller toy is identified by model number HGB85, which can be found on the product tag attached to the avocado toast toy.

The activity centre toy also features removable sensory toys, including a detachable tissue box toy. When taken apart, the box exposes small support brackets that could pose a choking hazard for young children, the advisory said.

This tissue box toy is white with red accents and contains “tissues” made from a sensory material. One side displays a black and white wiggly striped pattern, while the other side features a yellow-green design with raised spots.

The activity centre is marked with the model number HLV78, which can be found on the bottom side of the play table, near the Fisher-Price logo.

Health Canada is urging parents and caregivers to discontinue use of the affected products immediately and ensure they are stored out of children’s reach. Fisher-Price can be contacted to receive a complimentary replacement, the advisory said.

The Brunch and Go Stroller toys were manufactured in China and Vietnam and were sold between August 2022 and February 2025. The activity centre toy was made in China and the affected products were sold between May 2023 and December 2024.
