AP PhotoCanada has joined five European countries and Japan in announcing their “readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts” to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Japan condemned Iran’s recent attacks on commercial vessels, as well as attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
