Calgary’s Incumbent Mayor Gondek Concedes Defeat as Vote Count Continues in Alberta’s Two Major Cities

Jeromy Farkas has unseated incumbent Jyoti Gondek to become Calgary’s next mayor, unofficial results posted on the municipal elections website indicate.

Farkas narrowly defeated incumbent city Councillor and former city employee Sonya Sharp, while Gondek placed a distant third, according to Elections Calgary.
