BC RCMP Say Fist Fight at Golf Course ‘Unacceptable Behaviour’

Date:

RCMP in British Columbia say they’ve identified the suspects caught in a cell phone video fighting on a Kelowna golf course.

The video has surfaced on social media and shows several individuals yelling, swearing, and hitting each other.

Kelowna RCMP said they responded to a disturbance at a golf course in the 3500 block of Carrington Road around 6:45 p.m. on April 14.

In an email to The Epoch Times, RCMP said that all parties had been identified and that the incident is under investigation.

“We’ve viewed the cell phone video of the incident and it’s nothing short of unacceptable behaviour,” said Staff Sgt. Brendan Dolan with the West Kelowna Detachment.

Police said there will be no further details provided while the incident is under investigation.

A video allegedly of the incident involving what appears to be two groups of golfers was posted on social media on April 15.

The video, just over two minutes long, starts with five individuals standing near a golf cart on the course. Two of the men appear to be in a heated conversation, one wearing a blue shirt.

A sixth individual wearing a white shirt and black hat is seen quickly walking over toward one of the other men who was wearing a green shirt and holding a golf club. The man in the white shirt starts pushing the man in the green shirt, and then starts pushing the man in the blue shirt.

The only woman in the group then pushes the man in the blue shirt. He pushes her hands away and starts reaching out to push the man in the white shirt.

The two groups can be heard swearing at each other.

Two of the men begin punching each other, with the man in blue pulling off the shirt of the man in white during their struggle.

Several of the men and the woman try to get between the two men.

Another man, wearing grey without a hat, runs toward the group and the man in the blue shirt starts swinging at him. Eventually, the two groups separate, yelling at each other.
