Bissell Recalls Steam Cleaners in Canada, US Due to Burn Hazard

Health Canada handout photoBissell has issued a recall notice for more than 1 million of its steam cleaner units after receiving multiple reports of burn injuries in Canada and the United States.The attachments for the affected steam cleaners can unexpectedly detach from the units and expel hot water or steam onto users during use, which poses a burn hazard, says the recall notice jointly issued by Bissell Canada Corporation, Health Canada, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on April 9.
