UK, France, Germany Ready to Assist US in Stopping Irans Missile Strikes

Jonathan Brady/POOL/AFP via Getty ImagesThe leaders of three Western European powers have united in expressing their intention to assist the United States and its allies in stopping Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone strikes across the Middle East.German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and French President Emmanuel Macron issued a joint statement on March 1, saying that they were “appalled” by Iran’s “reckless” retaliatory strikes that have not only targeted U.S. and Israeli military sites but also their other allies in the region, threatening their citizens and servicemembers in the area.
