US Consumer Confidence Rises in February: Report

US NewsMany consumers plan on buying big-ticket items within the next six months, with TVs, used cars, and smartphones being top preferences for future spending.The consumer confidence index rose by 2.2 points in February from the previous month, driven by improved expectations regarding future economic conditions, think tank The Conference Board said in a Feb. 24 statement.The index is calculated based on an online survey of Americans.
