London Police Say No National Security Threat Involved in Ongoing Explosives, Firearms Investigation

The Canadian Press/Geoff RobinsThe London Police Service says there is no evidence indicating a national security or terrorism threat in its ongoing investigation involving four individuals charged with possessing explosives and manufacturing firearms.“At this point in the investigation, this is not a terrorism investigation, this is not a national security investigation,” LPS Deputy Chief Paul Bastien told reporters at a Feb. 6 media briefing. “We have partnered with the OPP and RCMP to ensure that they are informed, engaged, and have the opportunity to provide their expertise and input.”
