Canada and India Aim to Boost Trade in Oil and Gas

The Canadian Press/Adrian WyldOttawa and New Delhi agreed to expand trade in hydrocarbons as Energy Minister Tim Hodgson visited India.The two countries issued a joint statement on Jan. 27 highlighting potential areas of cooperation. The statement says that Canada’s priority to diversify its energy exports, coupled with India being a top consumer of oil and gas, “offers a natural and symbiotic partnership grounded in scale, stability, and long-term opportunity.”
