Stefan Postles/Getty ImagesFormer Prime Minister Tony Abbott has laid the blame for the Bondi Beach shooting massacre firmly at the feet of the Albanese government, claiming it had “effectively turned a blind eye to a whole series of anti-Jewish, Jew-hating events,” and created a situation where a terrorist attack aimed at Jews was “licensed by weakness.”Speaking on the “Australia’s Future With Tony Abbott” podcast for the Institute of Public Affairs, Abbott said there had been no comparable mass attacks against Jews in Britain, Europe, or the United States, arguing the attack occurred in Australia because the government “has failed to create a climate of safety and respect for Jewish people.”
