Edmonton City Council Approves 6.9% Property Tax Increase

The Canadian Press/Jason FransonEdmonton city council has approved a 6.9 percent property tax hike starting in 2026, a move it says is needed to fund city services and construction projects.City council previously approved a 5.7 percent increase for municipal property taxes in April, saying at that time that property taxes would generate $2.2 billion to fund city services and projects.
