Ottawa parents-to-be Jeremie and Kaitlyn were rushing to the hospital to deliver their second child when they hit traffic on Highway 174, and after flagging down police officers to help, met their newborn, Jack, right on the side of the highway.

The Ottawa Police Service said two of its members helped with the delivery and care of the baby and mother while waiting for paramedics to arrive on the morning of Oct. 24.
