A professor from the University of Alberta law department has been put on non-disciplinary leave over “concerning online comments” in connection with the shooting death of U.S. conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

The university says it is reviewing online comments including those in reaction to the professor’s comments to ensure safety within the university community.
