An urban police service near Toronto has dismantled two “interconnected criminal networks” that it says was instrumental in a string of violent home invasions and jewelery store heists that left several victims with “life-altering” injuries.
Peel Regional Police have laid 136 charges that include several counts of attempted murder and assault, after arresting six adults and six youths as part of Project Night Train, an investigation into 17 violent incidents between May and December 2024, officers said during a July 22 press conference in Mississauga, Ont.
