Canada’s auditor general has confirmed her office will be conducting an audit of Canada’s international student program, which has been awash in allegations of misuse and fraudulent applications.

Canada’s international student program was capped last year by the Trudeau government as concerns and criticisms over rising rental prices, visa fraud, and high immigration levels mounted. However, the scope of the upcoming audit remains unclear.
