Nearly half of Canadians would be willing to fight for their country, but that number drops for those under the age of 35, according to a recent survey.
The data from a new Angus Reid Institute survey found that 49 percent of those surveyed said they were willing to fight for Canada in the event of an armed conflict. That number was 55 percent among those older than 54. Among those aged 18 to 34 years old, 43 percent said they would be willing to volunteer for a combat role with the military.
