A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed Tuesday evening in Montreal has died.

Police confirmed his death today—the city’s eighth reported homicide in 2025.

The teenager was stabbed in the Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Const. Raphaël Bergeron says police have not made any arrests in the case.

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante offered condolences to the family on the X platform, calling the killing a tragedy that no parent should have to go through.
