Around 20 people are injured, but police have no details on the severity, except for two who are seriously hurt.

A vehicle plowed into a group of people in the Germany City of Munich on Thursday, injuring several, according to local police.

On Feb. 13, at 11:49 a.m. local time, Munich Police said on social platform X, that currently, around 20 injured people are being cared for by the rescue services.

“We do not yet have any information about the severity of the injuries,” authorities said.

They added that the driver was able to be “secured” on site and currently poses “no further danger.”

Among the injured are two seriously injured, police added.

“There are still numerous emergency services on site around the incident site. Caring for the injured is currently the top priority. Support the rescue services by keeping the escape routes clear,” it added.

Munich will host an annual international security conference on Friday. World leaders, including U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, are expected to attend the event, which has been held in the city since 1963.
