White House Has Backup Options If Supreme Court Blocks Trumps Global Tariffs

However, if the White House does not prevail, there are other options, U.S. officials say.The high court heard arguments on Nov. 5 on whether the president overstepped his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) by imposing sweeping tariffs on U.S. trading partners.
