Trump Admin Sanctions Colombian President Over Alleged Drug Trade Involvement

The Trump administration on Friday imposed sanctions against Colombian President Gustavo Petro, his family, and a close associate, alleging the sanctioned parties are complicit in transnational narcotics trafficking.

The sanctions apply to Petro, his wife, his son, and Colombian Interior Minister Armando Benedetti.
