FTC Appealing Loss in Antitrust Suit Against Meta

Madalina Vasiliu/The Epoch TimesThe Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plans to appeal a federal court’s decision that Meta does not hold a monopoly, the agency announced on Jan. 20.“The FTC continues to allege, and robust evidence at trial demonstrated, that for over a decade Meta has illegally maintained a monopoly in personal social networking services through anticompetitive conduct—by buying the significant competitive threats it identified in Instagram and WhatsApp,” the agency said in a statement.
