From the Heart of Druthers

Date:

A Note About the Intention of This Paper To Our Valued Readers,  If you’ve been reading Druthers for any length of time, you’ll know we don’t pull punches. We cover stories the mainstream media won’t touch. We ask questions that make people uncomfortable. We shine a light into dark corners that some powerful entities would very much prefer stayed dark. Sometimes, understandably, that can stir things up in people. Frustration. Outrage. A deep knowing that something is terribly wrong with the ways of this world and that we’ve been severely lied to. That feeling is absolutely valid. And really, that feeling means you’re paying attention, to some degree at least. Here’s what I wish for everyone to understand about why we make this paper and what my intention is with every article we publish: It is never—not once, not ever—about hatred, not toward anyone. Not even toward the globalists. Not toward the billionaire class. Not toward the politicians, the pharmaceutical executives, the media moguls, or anyone else whose decisions and agendas we scrutinize in these pages, and certainly never against the good people of this earth. The intention has never been to make anyone hate other people, fear people, or wish violence upon anyone. I truly mean that. Yes, there are forces in this world that appear to be working against the flourishing of ordinary human beings. There are concentrations of power and influence at the top of our systems that seem, by design, by greed, or by something darker, to be sucking the life force out of humanity in as many ways as possible. That’s not conspiracy thinking. By now, most people feel it. Something is wrong. Something is deeply off. The path we’re on isn’t leading us anywhere good, and deep down, almost everyone knows it. Druthers serves as a way to name that, to document that and to help people begin to see a bigger picture more clearly. The goal is not anger. The goal is awareness, because awareness is where power lives and what allows us to choose wisely. The greatest trick ever pulled on the human population is convincing us that we are powerless. That the people at the top are untouchable. That the systems are too big, too entrenched, and too well-funded to ever change. That all we can do is watch, suffer, and hope someone saves us. That is a big fat lie. The power has always been ours. It lives in our choices, our purchases, our attention, our voices, and our communities. Every single day, each of us makes dozens of decisions that either feed those systems or starve them. And when enough of us start choosing differently, consciously, collectively, and lovingly, everything begins to change. We simply cannot choose differently if we cannot see the problem. That’s just reality. We can’t navigate around an obstacle we don’t know is there. So yes, we’re going to keep pointing out the obstacles. We’re going to keep naming what we see, and we’re going to keep publishing the stories that powerful people don’t want published. But please know that the intention behind every one of those stories is not to make you afraid. It’s not to make you angry at your neighbour, at some group, or at some enemy. The intention is to give you valuable, honest information you need to make well-informed choices. Freer choices. More human choices. Through 21 years of this work, I have always maintained this fundamental belief: People are good. Most people, pretty much everywhere, want the same things. They want their families to be safe. They want enough food, warmth, and peace of mind to sleep at night. They want their kids to grow up in a world worth living in. They want connection, laughter, meaning, and joy. They want to be treated with dignity and to extend that same dignity to others. That is humanity. That is what’s most worth protecting. And that is who this paper is for. It is not to divide you from your neighbours or to sharpen your outrage into a weapon. It is simply to wake you up, gently, lovingly, and honestly, to what’s happening around us so that together we can choose a different path. We don’t need violence. We don’t need an uprising. We need an awakening. And that is exactly what I see happening. An awakening, by its very nature, begins with love. It rests on the unshakeable belief that human beings deserve better than what we’ve been given and that we have the power right now, today, to build it. That’s what Druthers is about, and that’s what it has always been about. Love. Unity. Truth. And the extraordinary, unstoppable power of people choosing to be free. — Shawn Jason, Creator of Druthers
