Corey Sipkin/AP PhotoNEW YORK—A former aide to two New York governors appeared for her first day of trial on Nov. 12 on charges that she sold her political access in exchange for millions of dollars in payments to her husband’s business.The couple, Linda Sun and Chris Hu, were arrested in September last year as U.S. authorities broadened efforts against Chinese agents that they said are advancing Beijing’s interests on U.S. soil.
