EU Charges Meta With Falling Short on Under-13 Protections

Yui Mok/PAThe European Commission on April 28 said Meta may be violating the bloc’s Digital Services Act by failing to adequately prevent children under 13 from accessing Facebook and Instagram.The commission said that Meta’s systems for protecting minors online were ineffective, despite the company’s minimum age requirement of 13.
