American Journalist Abducted in Baghdad

Thaier Al-Sudani/ReutersAn American journalist was abducted in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, and an individual connected to an Iranian-backed terrorist group had been detained.The Iraqi interior ministry confirmed the abduction of a foreign journalist on Tuesday, but did not disclose her nationality. She was identified as freelancer Shelly Kittleson by Al-Monitor, one of the media outlets she works for.
