By Shelagh McFarlane | SheLaw.ca Last month’s front-page article by constitutional lawyer Shawn Buckley on the “seismic shift in property rights” underway across Canada should be a HUGE wake-up call for every Canadian. CANADA IS IN A NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY. Mainstream media has buried this story for decades, so I submitted this article to Druthers Newspaper. It’s the ONLY national, independent newspaper that can inform EVERY Canadian about this State of Emergency, uncensored. This paper is available free in print and online, and every article is archived. Thank you, Druthers. An “ALL OUT CALL OUT!” To My Fellow Canadians I’ve been active at the local level for over 20 years—it’s the government closest to the people. My late husband, Art Koberinski, and I both ran for Mayor (2014, 2022) to correct the United Nations (UN) land grab Shawn described, because the ultimate land transfer happens at the local level, by your Mayor. Under the UN Agenda, elected Mayors must swear to serve the global sustainable development goals rather than their communities. Mayors are then used as patsies to designate their areas as “international territory,” thereby transferring all registered land titles and public securities to UN initiatives. In the past three years, Druthers has published three of my articles on this (free to read at druthers.ca), and I’ve also written three books on it: The POGG Primer, the Protocol, and the Protocol Playbook (free at shelaw.ca). Global Mayors Transfer Local Land to the Global Plan For years, I’ve watched local regulatory power slowly shift from elected Mayors and Councillors to Municipality-tier structures that the public neither elects, nor controls, nor understands. Most people think they have a Local Government (elected public representatives). But what’s actually operating day-to-day is Municipal Administration (operations). When these two structures were merged together (2001), all local, sovereign powers were captured: Financial powers, using land/property registrations and tax codes, Regulatory powers, using building codes, permits and commercial retrofits, and Essential public services (water, hydro, housing, transportation, schools, roads, 911 emergency), using private energy agreements and the provincial Municipal Act(s).If this MAJOR structural defect is not corrected, the town ultimately goes bankrupt—a mathematical inevitability that vulnerable rural areas are experiencing now. The Non-Political Solution: Re-Public Your Public Office! Municipal elections are scheduled this year in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, as well as in Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. Unlike the federal and provincial levels, the local office is the one place where ordinary people can directly make immediate change, and this election cycle can be used by local candidates to: Educate their area about the State of Emergency (land transfer) happening locally, Stand to realign their local office back to public purpose, and Terminate the global initiatives being implemented in and on their town. That’s right. This year, ordinary people can peacefully stand and disengage their town or city from the UN Sustainable Development Goals like UNDRIP, just by running for local Council, talking to their neighbours, and hosting a few town halls, paid for by donations at the door. One local candidate can set the “Re-Public Your Public Office!” template for every town and city in Canada. Just imagine! One man or woman can end the UN Agenda for all of us—and the world. That’s how fragile this huge global “plan” is—ironic, given its scale. THE POGG Campaign is non-partisan and simple: Running Candidates stand for: Fiscal Responsibility: local revenue for local needs only; stewardship of public resources Public Transparency: clear purview of office/holders; public Oath; full ledger disclosure Local Autonomy: separation of elected Officials from municipal operations; no political affiliations; no provincial downloads. No debates on federal jurisdictional issues like climate change. No arguments over “Bill C-whatever” or provincial infrastructure projects. No politics. No colours. Like it used to be. The POGG Protocol Playbook Can Be Used in Every Province All candidates, no matter the province, can share their campaign flyers, town hall scripts and successes with each other! Every candidate will share the same simple message that Canadians are DYING to hear—freedom from this financial tyranny and help for the children. Running for public office isn’t about seeking Municipality Strong Powers. It’s about restoring the principles on which the office was founded: Peace, Order & Good Government Administration. Local elections are usually won with very few votes, and campaigns cost very little money: a flyer, a town hall, a newspaper article, or a Facebook group. “Boots on the ground” volunteers get the message out faster and more effectively than money can. Plus, the POGG message sells itself. Lawn signs and glossy flyers are for parties, not people. Be A Local Hero! This year, Canadians have a clear path to take back their lawful, sovereign powers, one town at a time. Government doesn’t need a major overhaul. It just needs a few good, standing men and women to realign it with its original purpose. For the first time in history, a major political problem can be peacefully resolved by a handful of ordinary people, using the government closest to them. Jimmy Jackson is one mayoral candidate prepared to do just that for his hometown. A field worker and concerned father with experience in children’s mental health and education, Jackson has thrown his hat into the ring for Mayor of St. Catharines. He’s registered to run and is “All Ears!” for the people. Get Involved with this “Non-Party Movement” If this resonates with you, please read my previous articles at druthers.ca and the POGGs at shelaw.ca. If your heart is called to stand for your area, register with your CITY Clerk ($100-200, refunded after the election), and then contact me at editor@shelaw.ca. I guarantee you’ll have lots of support—not just from mothers, fathers and fellow candidates all across the country, but because of the very foundation of the POGG platform: “Truth, Love, Peace and Freedom” for all, as it should be. It won’t be Ottawa who will “Save the Children.” It’ll be bus drivers, single moms, and EXTRA-ordinary people who “Stand Up for Them.” It will be you and me, uniting locally and peacefully, all across the country. So, let’s go, Canada! Re-Public Your Public Office this year! Let’s Start the (non-party) Party and 2026 Jubilee. For more information, please visit shelaw.ca
