Trump Says Attacks on Iran Could Last 4 to 5 Weeks

Roberto Schmidt/Getty ImagesU.S. President Donald Trump said on March 1 that the U.S.–Israeli military operation against the Iranian regime could last up to five weeks and shared his views about how the country’s future leadership might be after the deaths of Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.The United States and Israel launched major attacks on Iran on Feb. 28 after U.S.–Iran nuclear talks ended without a breakthrough. Trump has said the operation’s goal is to eliminate threats from Iran and ensure the regime “can never have a nuclear weapon.”
