2nd Australian Dies in Japan Skiing Incident This Season

Carl Court/Getty ImagesA second Australian has died in Japan during the current ski season, with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirming it is providing consular assistance to the deceased’s family.According to Japan’s UHB news service, emergency services were alerted in the afternoon of Feb. 2 after a staff member at a ski resort in Hokkaido contacted police at around 3:00 p.m. to report an incident outside the designated ski area.
